HELP "GYIMA JACOB AKOTEY" WALK WELL .
This is Jacob Gyima Akotey, a 6 years old boy who lives with his parents in Esuogya, a small community in the Tarkwa Nsuaem district in the Western Region, and a pupil of Esuogya M/A Basic School K.G 2.
He has been battling an excruciating pain because of the structure of his lower limbs which both curve outwards due to an incident that occurred when he was little.
According to his mother, a heavy door fell on his legs, and after that incident, efforts were made to correct the deformity by seeking assistance from local healthcare providers because funds were not available to opt for surgery. These actions proved futile as the local herbs could only tame the pains for the time being and not correct the deformity.
Gyima had no other option than to live with this situation of constant pains and the inability to live to his full potential among his peers.
Recently, his situation was spotted by a representative of the HOPE FOR HUMANITY FOUNDATION and of which the organization decided to take up the issue to seek help for the young boy.
God has been so good and an organization "OTC GHANA" (Orthopaedic Training Centre) ( www.otcghana.org ) who deal in these kinds of surgery offers to correct the deformity free of charge. A very big thanks to them.
Now, the issue of proximity is the challenge faced by Gyima's family as they are financially unstable and need financial help to commute to and fro the hospital and also to cover other expenses such as extra medical bills, feeding and accommodation during the process.
We humbly plead on the entire public (individuals, groups, donors, agencies, companies etc.) to support the recovery process of little Gyima Jacob Akotey.
No donation is small.
Let's help Gyima walk well again.
God richly bless you all.
